Since March 2020, I have been been the Holistic counsellor with the Natural Practice, Winchester, UK applying my training and background in person-centred and family constellations counselling, working with individuals, couples and groups. Following the closure of the Natural Practice at the end of March 2025, I will continue my counselling practice independently and offer a continuation of care. I am working alongside some other independent and multi-disciplinary holistic colleagues (homeopathy, acupuncture, nutrition, lifestyle medicine) and together we will cross-refer and where relevant offer parallel-track support to you, in the spirit of integrating a range of approaches to support your growth and healing.
As a Holistic counsellor, I work with individuals, couples and groups in constellation workshops. I am an accredited counsellor with The National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society.
During my work as a person-centred counsellor, I loved the approach and at the same time became aware that sometimes talking-based therapies, whilst effective, can also lead to recycling of old patterns - as human beings we often become attached and identify strongly with the stories we tell ourselves about who we are. I encourage you in our counselling partnership to explore beyond these stories, to see if we can identify the root-cause of your patterns, sometimes they are ancestral and we use a somatic approach (i.e. our bodies) to tap into this wisdom and systemic intelligence.
I use a whole-person approach to understanding your life and context. We cannot be viewed in isolation, we are influenced by many systems of belonging: our family of origin, our work, our cultural beliefs, spiritual or religious backgrounds, our ancestry, past traumas and more. I work with you to understand the significance of these contexts and relationships, exploring where unconscious loyalties and entanglements might be holding you back. Our intention is one of integration of the many different parts that make you who you are - and allowing you to become freer to make more conscious and life-affirming choices.
I trained for two years as a facilitator of family & organisational constellations, in Oxford with Core Constellations, Theory & Practice and at Metanoia Institute on a Diploma in person centred counselling. Five years of working for a woodland-based charity has shaped my approach too in counselling, in as much as I am passionate about nature-connectedness! So one of the opportunities we can explore is taking the holistic counselling into nature as well as using where appropriate our Curiously Connected Cards! Many clients are already finding this beneficial.
