Building on his work and studies as a person-centred counsellor and training in family constelations, Marcos encourages you to explore the root-causes of underlying pattersn and themes in your life. Marcos will sometimes encourage an exploration of themes through your body, what’s called a somatic approach. There is plenty of research evidencing that our bodies hold huge wisdom and intelligence about what’s needed to heal.
Marcos has trained in facilitating an approach using family constellations – he trained for two years as a facilitator of family & organisational constellations, in Oxford with Core Constellations, Theory & Practice a whole-person approach to understanding our life and context, the many systems of belonging: our family of origin, our work, our cultural beliefs, spiritual or religious backgrounds, our ancestry, past traumas and more.
Marcos helps you understand the significance of these contexts and relationships, exploring with you where unconscious loyalties, relationship patterns, self-belief and narratives about who you have been thus far in your life might be holding you back. The purpose of the counselling is one of raising awareness, integrating the many parts of who you are, and becoming freer to make conscious choices.
Hybrid working: for the foreseeable future, at least for the first part of 2025, Marcos will continue to travel between the UK and Netherlands, and many clients are happy with scheduling both in-person and online appointments.
Professional and ethical matters: Marcos is an accredited counsellor with The National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society and is in the process of applying to NOBCO in the Netherlands, a professional coaching organisation.
